Bertha V. Cobb

Bertha Violet Higginbotham Cobb, 97, of Page, WV died on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV. Born April 10, 1909 at Putnam County, WV she was the daughter of the late Noah and Myrtia May Gullion Higginbotham. Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Robson Church of Christ and a homemaker. Her husband, Delbert G. Cobb; one son, Buddy Jewel Cobb; five sisters, Lou Higginbotham, Maxine Landers, Pearl Higginbotham, Olie Withrow and Cordieu King; and four brothers, Bob, Bill, Carl and Corbet Higginbotham preceded her in death. Survivors include son, Delbert W. Cobb of Kincaid; foster sister, Emogene Tucker of Dunbar; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, two special nieces, Ruby Withrow of Kimberly, WV and Sue Luicart of Bancroft, WV and several nephews Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Sunday, October 15, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will be on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Jack McNeely and Rev. Donald Floyd officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
