Bernard G. Johnson

Bernard Glenn Johnson, 76, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, October 02, 2007 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born June 30, 1931 at Sanger, WV he was the son of the late Major Gwinn and Maude Estelle Stinnett Johnson. He was a retired building contractor. Bernard was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the N.R.A. The family would like to extend very special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hidden Valley for the excellent care they gave our husband and father. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Johnson, Frank Johnson and Major E. "Bud" Johnson and five sisters, Grace Hess, Margaret Kemlock, Mary Hamilton, Merle Twiggs and Ada Catherine Ingles. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Wills Johnson; one son, Glenn B. Johnson and wife, Sheila of White Sulphur Springs, WV; one daughter, Mary C. Naylor and husband, Scott of Oak Hill, WV; four grandsons, Randy Church, Travis Church, Joshua Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson and two great grandsons, Gage Michael Church and Matthew Glenn Johnson. Services will be on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Doug Holley officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hil on Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
