Bennie Chesunas

Bennie Chesunas, 93, of Hamlin, WV formerly of the Oak Hill area died on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV Born January 1, 1915 at Eccles, WV he was the son of the late Ben and Edna Legonis Chesunas. Mr. Chesunas was a disabled US Army veteran having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Hess Chesunas; brothers, Mike, Charles, John and Julian Chesunas and sisters, Nellie Norosky and Millie Motus. Survivors include daughter, Karen Lee Hawkins of Murrells Inlet, SC, sisters, Anna Bias of Oak Hill and Nancy Blake of Oak Hill. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating and with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110 of Oak Hill and American Legion Post #149 of Fayetteville. Arrangements by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
