Beatrice Sumpter

Beatrice Hill Sumpter, 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. Born February 23, 1923 at Clintwood, VA she was the daughter of the late Edward and Viola Rose Hill. Mrs. Sumpter was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. He husband, Ray Sumpter; three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Larry Sumpter and wife, Darlene of Oak Hill, Jerry Sumpter and wife, Verna of Beckley, Terry Sumpter and wife, Sharon of Sanford, NC and Danny Sumpter and wife, Vicki of Oak Hill; two daughters, Patricia Shepperd and husband, Fred of Beckley and Sandra Bryant and husband, James of Oak Hill and one sister, Alma McLaughlin of Harrison, Michigan. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Monday, July 3, 2006, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will be on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor James B. Cox officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
