Barbara Ann Ramey Barker

Barbara Ann Ramey Barker , 71, of Lansing, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV after a long battle with cancer. Born August 12, 1939 at Montgomery, WV she was the daughter of the late Miles and Stella Pearl Burke Ramey. Barbara was an agent/secretary for State Farm Insurance with 20 years service. She was a 1957 graduate of Montgomery High School and attended Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ercil Lee Barker, son, Lee Barker and wife, Penny of Blacksburg, VA, two daughters, Beverly Crosier and husband, Jimbo of Ansted and Lori Woodson and husband, Mike of Oak Hill, two sisters, Brenda Ramey Kerwood and husband, Jr. of Oak Hill and Betty Ramey Ashby of Peoria, AZ and half-brother, Kenneth Ramey of Cameron, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Seth Crosier, Erin Crosier and Noah Woodson, nieces, Sammi Kerwood, Kathy Bullis and Karen Pringle, and nephews, Jeff Ashby, Kerry Ashby, Chris Dolin and Billy Dolin. Barbara was deeply loved by her family and friends will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Rev. Kenny Hayes , Pastor Mike Anderson and Rev. Billy Ring of Waycross, GA officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
