Barbara Farrish

Barbara Ellen Farrish, 58, of Oak Hill, our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. Barbara was a native of Oak Hill having been born on November 16, 1949, to the late John and Elizabeth Latham Farrish. She was a veteran having served with the U. S. Army, member of the VFW Post No. 149 of Fayetteville and completed office procedure courses from Job Corp. Those left to cherish her memory are: her sisters, Linda Smith and her husband, Steven of New Creek, WV and Fern Radford of Prosperity; her brother, John Farrish, Jr. and his wife, Lois of Louisville, KY; three nephews, James David Pyle, John William Pyle, and William Radford; and two nieces, Lisa Landers and Katy Farrish. Services will be 11 AM Thursday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Ken Wright officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, where military graveside rites will be conducted by Oak Hill VFW Post No. #3110. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the service hour at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be James David Pyle, John William Pyle, William Radford, Ronnie Armstrong, Steve Smith and John Farrish.
