Barbara Batchelder

Barbara E. Trent Batchelder, 73, of Mount Hope, WV went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 05, 2004 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a short illness. Born December 29, 1930 at Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Mae Painter Trent. Mrs. Batchelder was a homemaker and a member of the Mount Hope Christian Church since she was baptized at the age of thirteen on May 20, 1944, active in the WCF of the church and served as card chairman for the church and the WCF. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Paul Batchelder; brothers, Edward Trent of California, William "Billy" Trent of Mount Hope and Dorsey Marshall "Todd" Trent. Survivors include her beloved son, Douglas Van Batchelder of Mount Hope; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Godbey and husband, Basil of Apple Valley, CA and a brother, James Carson Trent and wife, Margaret, of Westminster, MD. Visitation will be held at Mount Hope Christian Church on Sunday, November 7, 2004, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Services will be on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 2:30 pm at the Mount Hope Christian Church in Mount Hope with Minister Ferdinand Gavina officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Pallbearers will be Harold Radford, Sr., George Smith, Jr., Page Humphrey, Zane Self, Gregory Harvey, DDS and Dan Barton.
