Audrey N. Williams

Audrey Nadine Whited Williams, 86, of Hilltop, WV died on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born May 27, 1921 at Gay in Jackson County, WV she was the daughter of the late Rev. Clarence Dowel and Dollie Gay Fields Whited. Mrs. Williams taught Elementary School and later Reading in both Fayette and Putnam Counties retiring after 27 1/2 years. She was a member of the Hilltop United Methodist Church. Audrey enjoyed making quilts and giving them to her family and friends. Her husband, Klase Williams, Jr. and two brothers, Clarence Whited and Golden Whited preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Piotrowski and husband, Steven of Oak Hill, WV and Donna Thompson and husband, Frank of Lynville, TN and one brother, Clyde Whited of Huntington, WV. She also is also survived by three grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper of Mount Hope, Matthew Piotrowski of Craig, CO and Danny Thompson and wife, DeNeb of Lynville,TN; four great grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaleb, Lillian and Morgan Cooper and extended family members Kenneth Lee Hubbard and wife, Tina and their children, Audrey, Mrs. Williams' namesake, and Isabella all of Michigan and Keith Hubbard and wife, Melinda of Beckley, WV. Services will be on March 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Howard Calvert, Jr. and Rev. Larry Woody officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Matthew Piotrowski, Kenneth Hubbard, Keith Hubbard, Justin Cooper and Danny Thompson will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Oak Hill Library, 611 Main Street West, Oak Hill WV 25901.
