Arthur Lee "Moose" Hamilton

Arthur Lee “Moose” Hamilton, 57, of Oak Hill, WV died suddenly early Wednesday morning, February 1, 2012 at his residence. Born August 10, 1954 at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late E. Arthur Hamilton Jr. and Stella Maxine Painter Hamilton. Arthur was a 1972 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. He was a former employee for Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Mt. Hope, and had worked for over 20 years in the coal industry, most recently with Massey Coal at Whitesville. Mr. Hamilton loves the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving companion of 19 years, the love of his life, Kathy Humphrey of Oak Hill; two devoted children, Kara Hamilton Kucner of Hamilton, Ohio, and Josh Hamilton and wife, Kristy of Princeton, step-son, Shane Humphrey, two siblings, Diana Preast and husband, Billy of Chimney Corner, and Jim Hamilton and wife, Sherry of Oak Hill, nephew and nieces, Scott, Angie, Kimberly and Jamie, special cousins, Cam and Pam Ford, and a host of friends and family. A time of gathering and sharing will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with brief service to follow. Following the services, the family will honor his request, his body will be cremated. Inurnment will be held at a later date in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
