Arlin Curtis Hackney

Arlin Curtis Hackney , 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, April 01, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born December 13, 1928 at Island Branch, WV he was the son of the late Elza C. and Claytie J. Baughan Hackney. He was a retired mill Inspector for Republic Steel. Mr. Hackney attended Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. His wife, Edith Marie Goins Hackney and sisters, Gail Pryhechzewski, Jerre Humphrey, and Doris Martin preceded him in death. Survivors include his only son, Arlin Craig Hackney of Oak Hill, his dear friend, Shirley Wriston and two sisters, Frances Hackney Johnson of Fayetteville and Marilyn Henderson of Chagrin Falls, OH. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Pastor Mark Wood officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110.
