Ardena Frances Jarrett Scarbro Stover, 84, North Sand Branch, WV died on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born February 26, 1920 at Sissonville, WV she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Mary Earsel Reed Jarrett. Mrs. Stover attended the Church of God and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady H. Scarbro; second husband, Wilburn Stover; son, Keith Alan Scarbro who is survived by his wife, Kelly; brothers, Noble and Hershal Jarrett; sister, Pauline Hood; stepson, Owen Stover. Survivors include sons, Franklin (Jackie) Scarbro of Mount Hope, Lawrence (Deborah) Scarbro of Eaton Rapids, MI, Clarence (Shirley) Scarbro of Lansing, MI, Leon (Cheryl) and Wilson Scarbro both of Pax; daughters, Joyce (Terry) Graham of Lansing, MI, Faye Scarbro of Lansing, MI, Susan Mooney of Mount Hope and Mary Frances Hood of Charlotte, NC; stepsons, Glenn Stover of Cool Ridge, Doyle Stover of Detroit, MI and Lyle Stover of Beckley; step daughters, Juanita Dunbar of Bradley, Myrna Taylor of Beckley, Nora Swane of Columbus, OH, Annis Bedwell of Roanoke, VA, Kay Taylor and Dixie McDowell both of Columbus, OH; brother, Jackie Jarrett of Daily; sisters, Opal Wines of Elkview; 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Special appreciation is given to Carolyn Stover and family. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Friday, September 17, 2004, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 2:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. John Syner officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Edward Franklin Scarbro, II, Jerry Keith Scarbro, William Kent Scarbro, Justin Aicher, Joshua Scarbro, Aaron Michael Scarbro, Cecil Smallwood and Kermit Ray Stover will serve as pallbearers.
