Anna Lee Underwood

Anna Lee Underwood, 53, of Price Hill, WV died on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born May 12, 1951 at Price Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Juanita Trizack Wood and stepdaughter of Richard Wood. Mrs. Underwood was a member of the Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and mother. She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Gene Underwood. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Ray Underwood, Sr.; sons, Thomas Ray Underwood, Jr. and wife, Diane, and their son, Thomas Underwood, III, of Price Hill, and Charles Alfred Underwood and wife, April, and their daughter, Brittany, of Fayetteville; daughter, April Dawn Collins and husband, Charles, and their daughter, Christa Taylor Collins, of Sullivan. She is also survived by several step-brothers and step-sisters. There will be no visitation. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 3:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity with Rev. Larry Humphrey officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 RHL Blvd, Suite 626, Charleston, WV 25309.
