Anna Marie Phillips Shaffer, 88, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.
Born October 6, 1929 in Clarksburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Blondie William and Florence Marie Waltz Phillips.
Anna was Vice President of FCNB Bankcorp. Inc. and was the first female board member of Fayette County National Bank for 30 years.. She was a officer and member of the White Oak Garden Club and was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Shaffer; one sister, Mary Jane Ponikvar; and two brothers, William Charles Phillips, and Thomas Daniel Phillips.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Patricia Shaffer; one son, George Shaffer; two sisters, Emily Grace Lambruno and Sally Ellen Touchette; and one brother, Donald Lee Phillips.
In keeping with Anna's wishes she is to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tucker County, WV.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army, 312 S. Fayette Street, Beckley, WV 25801 .
