Anna Rice McGuffin-Taylor of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a sudden illness. Born at Garten, WV she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Minnie Light Rice. She was retired from the Long-Airdox Company, Oak Hill. She was a member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill, WV and of the White Oak Country Club. Anna loved the beach, her church, family and her dogs and was an avid Mountaineer Fan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John A. McGuffin, a brother, Billy Joe Rice and one sister, Mike Hupert. Survivors include her husband, Richard P. Taylor, Sr.; two sons, Jake McGuffin, of Oak Hill, WV and Tim McGuffin and wife, Gay of Oak Hill, WV; four stepsons, Richard Taylor, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Lakeworth, FL, Ivey C. Taylor, II and wife, Angie of Charlotte, NC, Willis B. Taylor, II and wife, Lisa of Clarksville, TN and David I. Taylor and wife, Nicole of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Gene Rice of Falls Church, VA; two sisters, Ruby Cottle and Marye Gehring both of Lima, OH. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Darrin McGuffin, Derek McGuffin, Christopher McGuffin, Valentina Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, Carmen Taylor and Savannah Taylor. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services will be on Thursday,February 22, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Oak Hill with Rev. Roy Gene Crist officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Aneurysm and AVM Foundation, 2811 Castro Valley Boulevard, Suite 111, Castro Valley, CA 94546. Pallbearers will be Ben Williams, Calvin Kidd, Larry Navicki, Jim Myal, Belton Lafferty and Emory McGuffin with honorary pallbearers bring, Charlie DeBusk, Erick Brooks, Charles Houchens, Robert Lively, Jack Thompson and Doug Kincaid.
