Anna Lee Canterbury Candler

Anna Lee Canterbury Candler, 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at her home. Born January 06, 1926 at Summerlee (Bays Heights), WV she was the daughter of the late Ira and Nellie Mann Canterbury. She was the former Postmistress for the US Postal Service at Summerlee. Mrs. Candler was a charter member of the Summerlee Wesleyan Church. A son Larry Wayne Candler and a grandson, Robert A. Candler preceded her in death. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was also preceded in death by siblings Lee, Harry, Neal, Dick, Bob, Mary and Janie. Survivors include husband of 63 years, Ralph William Candler; two daughters, Debra McCoy of Goodview, VA and Carol Rinehart of Hillsboro, IL; one son, Ralph Joseph "Joey" Candler of Oak Hill; 9 grandchildren, James D. Candler, Laura Candler, Sonja Perkins, Aaron Rinehart, Rebecca Moyer, Jeffery Rinehart, Jessica Nichols, Van E. White and Christopher White and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Darrell Prater and Rev. Robert James officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
