Anna Mae Adkins

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Anna Mae Lovell Adkins, 71, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, November 06, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a short illness. Born April 19, 1934 at Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late J. D. Lovell and Susie Matilda Cranfield Lovell Johnson and the step-daughter of the late Charles Cleve Johnson. She was a homemaker. Anna was the last of her immdiate family. Her husband, Franklin Delano Adkins and a sister, Laura Teaster preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Frankie Wayne Adkins and companion, Mary Jo Oldaker, of Oak Hill, WV; one daughter, Shelby Jean Adkins Moses and companion, Terry Underwood, of Oak Hill, WV; a special friend, Lee Drake whom she helped to raise as one of her own; five grandchildren, Nicole, Timothy, Jr., Amanda, Dustin Paul and Priscilla and one step-grandson, Jermey Clayton. She is also survived by five sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, two nieces, Ruby and Masel of Rose Bud, Ark.; special niece, Syreda Haynes of Arizona and two nephews, Bobby of Rose Bud, Ark. and Owen of Oregon. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Thursday, November 10, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Bill Menefee, Rev. Allen Gallimore and Rev. Robert Pauley officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Oak Hill WV. Pallbearers will be Jerry Dooley, C.R. Treadway, Mike Fox, Bobby Sears, Jerry Johnson and David DeQuasie.
