Ann Elizabeth “Butch” Drysdale Vannatter, age 73 of Beckley, WV passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her residence.
Born August 18, 1942 in Beckley, she was daughter of the late Fredrick and Bessie Perry Drysdale.
Ann was a homemaker and member of the Hilltop Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school and was an Awana instructor.
Being the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lewis Wetzel “Buddy” Vannatter, Jr.; her daughter, Angela Clemons and husband Paul of Lewisburg; and her three sons, Lewis John Vannatter of Virginia, Charles Vannatter of Beckley and James Vannatter and wife Stephanie of Sophia.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Kristen Vannatter, Jennifer Sayre, Rachel Clemons, Chandler Clemons, Zaine Vannatter, Jacyln Vannatter, Austin Vannatter, Dalton Allen, Allison Williams, Aleigha Asbury and Raegan Richardson; and two great grandchildren, Raylee Wright and Alexander Sayre.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Bob Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.
Friends may call at the funeral on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until services hour of 1:00 PM.
John Helvey, Greg Davis, William Simon, Chandler Clemons, Paul Clemons and Fred Williams will serve as pallbearers.
