Anita Delores Watkins

Surrounded by her husband, children and close friends, Anita Delores Doyle Watkins, 61, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, April 02, 2009 at home after a prolonged battle with fibrosis of the lungs. Born January 31, 1948 at Fort Worth, TX she was the daughter of Mary Choate Beauchamp and the late Eugene Doyle. Anita was a kind and committed caregiver, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent 17 years touching many souls at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rahab Center, where she was highly regarded for her selflessness and empathy to everyone she met. Survivors include husband, Kenneth Watkins; children, Shelly Johnson, Tammy Bowyer, Alice Johnson, Debbie Hancock and baby boy, James Watkins; brothers, Danny Ray and Michael Lee Doyle; three grandchildren, Paige Watkins, Fallyn Johnson and Michael Johnson and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her stepfather, Norman Beauchamp; son-in-law, Robert Perkins; close personal friends, Betty Aryes, Connie Alexander and Mary Ann Peters and the entire Watkins family. Anita touched and knew so many people we are sure we will never be able to list them all here. Ms. Watkins would like to give special recognition to the golden arches for all the fine food they provided her through all the years. Also, she would like to give big heartfelt thanks to the road salt crew who cleansed the roads of the white scourge every winter. And to everyone who reads this...be careful:) We now and forever will love you mom! There will be no services. Anita wished that any donations go to Hospice of Southern West Virginia whose hand of mercy made her last days with her family dignified and free from suffering. She wanted to especially thank Heather, Kelly, Genny and Carlyle Blomme from Hospice who touched her heart and whom she felt were truly angels.
