Anita Pegelow Billings

Anita Pegelow Billings, 97, left us on December 14, 2024 to be with the Lord and her husband of 65 years, Clarence, whom she missed dearly. Born in Vernon Township, Illinois on May 5, 1927, she was the fourth child of Paul and Cora Pegelow. Anita had a long and varied career as an executive assistant in the banking and insurance field, eventually retiring to warmer weather in Mobile, AL. In later years she and Clarence relocated to Cary, NC where they had many good friends and a wonderful church family. 

She was blessed by a daughter Glenda Johnson of Fort Worth, TX, a son Alan (Amy) of Raleigh, NC; 2 grandsons; Christopher Johnson and Andrew Billings, 2 granddaughters; Kathryn Johnson Guardado (Ervey) and Emily Rose Billings, and 3 great grandchildren; Reagan, Landry, and Rylee Guardado.

Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Eric Davis of Packs Branch Baptist Church at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, West Virginia at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024.
