Alvin Denver Binder, 86, of Oak Hill passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Born July 8, 1938 in London, KY. he was the son of the late Delbert and Ethel Jones Binder.
Alvin was a proud United States Army Veteran, a retired strip miner, and in his leisure he enjoyed bowling, fishing, visiting with friends at his antique store, he loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals play and was a avid University of Kentucky fan. He was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God and especially loved being surrounded by his family.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife, Karen Caldwell Binder; 3 children, Alvin D. Binder II (Diane), Donna Binder, and Rhonda Welch (Larry); great grandson, Michael Crites; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Maurice Binder.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Richard Allen and Pastor Melvin Adkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, WV.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
