Alma Webb Marshall

June 20, 1919 — April 21, 2009

Alma Webb Marshall, 89, of Beckley, WV passed away peacefully April 17, 2009 at Pine Lodge Care and Rehabilition Center in Beckley. Born June 20, 1919 at Dothan, WV, she was the daughter to the late Joseph and Sarah Shroyer Webb. She was married to George Walter Marshall until his death in 1991. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Duffy, Lotice, Denver and Leonard Webb and sister Effie Toney. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Left to cherish fond memories are daughter Delores McClung and husband Donald of Whitesville, WV and son Joseph Marshall and wife Gina of Daniels, WV. Mamaw was the special title used by grandchildren, Marshall McClung, Eric McClung, Amber Harper and Jantzen Marshall. Mamaw wished for great grandchildren and was blessed with Kaleb Harper, Lauren McClung, Ty McClung, Carlie Doczi, Carter McClung, Jordan McClung, Riley McClung and baby Harper due in July. Also surviving are sisters, Erma Lee Toney of Sandusky, Ohio, Mary Howe of Uniontown, Ohio, Patsy Burch of Akron, Ohio and many special nieces, nephews, friends and former neighbors. Special thanks goes to the entire staff of Pine Lodge who cared for mom since 2005. We will never forget your compassion. A very special thank you to Kathy who not only cared for mom but became her friend. Mom’s hobby was bell collecting and we know that the angels are ringing those golden bells in heaven for her now. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with C.L.P David Pettrey of Dorothy, WV officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday April 20, 2009 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
