Alma P. Clay Gilbert

A life-long resident of the Page-Kincaid, WV area, Alma Pearl Clay Gilbert , 85, died on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born January 12, 1925 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Kate Meadows Clay. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the First Church of God at Kincaid and an Honor Member of the Women of the Church of God. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Bynum "Junior" Gilbert, a son, Dallas William Royce and a granddaughter, Susan Royce-Britt preceded her in death. Survivors include son, Leroy Gilbert and wife, Vicky of Lochgelly, three daughters, Janice Harper, Sergeant Major U.S. Army, retired, and husband, Danny Ray of Houston, TX, Rose Anne Michaels and husband, Albert of Teays Valley and Cindy Lilly and husband, Earl of Hilltop, sister, Barbara Kincaid and husband, Elmer Ray Kincaid, Jr. of Kincaid and daughter-in-law, Jean Royce of Pineville. Alma was blessed with the love of many grandchildren including Christina Acord, Vicki Thomas, Laura Jane Waddey, Barbara Porterfield, Daniel Gilbert, Leslie Gilbert, Carly Norosky, Darlene Norosky, Erin Michaels, Lauren Marie Stewart, Yung Earl Lilly, II, Zachary Lilly, John Lilly, Barry Sulpizio, Aaron Harper and Adam Harper and great grandchildren, Matthew Acord, Corey Fain, Dallas Christopher Royce Reed, Adam Britt, William Shuck, Marshall Thomas, Katherine Cook, Rebecca Simmons, Brenna Porterfield, Alexis Porterfield, Erin Porterfield, Alexis Palmer, Jackson Hartsuch, Miles Lakin, Yung Earl Lilly, III, Keara Ann Lilly, Lilyann Pearl Spack, Adam Sulpizio and Audrey Sulpizio. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Gerald Grant officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV.
