Alma Sedlock Brash

Alma Ruth Sedlock Brash, 61, of Oak Hill, WV passed away quietly in her home on Thursday, February 18, 2016.

Born November 02, 1954 at Montgomery, WV she was the daughter of the late Carl Woodrow Sedlock and Dorothy Ella Parrish Sedlock Painter. She was a 1973 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill.

Alma raised two of her children in Oak Hill and her youngest in Lebanon, VA, and just recently moved back to Oak Hill to be closer to all three and to her grandkids.  She would tell you she was the happiest she had ever been.  She had many jobs throughout her life, but her best job was Mom, and her favorite job was Nana.  She was so proud of her three children whom she adored above anything and cherished above all. She was an amazing Nana to her three grandsons, and spoiled each at every opportunity.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Ashley McKay Brash, a freshman at WVU, who was more of her best friend than her daughter; her daughter, Jennilin Jones and her partner, Shane Parsons of Oak Hill; her son, Joshua Lon Jones, and his girlfriend, Natasha Green of Oak Hill; her grandsons, Jonah, Elias, and Hendrix, and Isaac (who she treated like a grandson}, and Evelynn, the granddaughter she was so excited about and was expecting in May.

Also surviving are sisters, Brenda Propps of Roanoke, VA, Deborah (Sonny) Berry of Oak Hill, Beverly Blevins of Charleston, and Kimberly Irving of Charleston; and brothers, Ron Sedlock of Fayetteville, Rick (Kim) Sedlock of Shipshawana, IN, and Patrick (Dannille) Sedlock of Stoneville, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating.
