Allan D. Hostetter

Allan D. Hostetter, 63, of Columbus, OH died on Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Columbus. Born March 14, 1946 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Phillip Reese and Effie Mildred Lee Hostetter. He was a 1964 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill following which he moved to Columbus where he attended college to become a respiratory therapist. Allan's main desire was to help people. He was able to touch many lives as a respiratory therapist. He enjoyed going to the YMCA and going to the park to feed the squirrels and birds. Three brothers, Richard Wayne Hostetter, Gary Layne Hostetter and Gerald Laird Hostetter preceded him in death. Survivors include two brothers, Phillip Hostetter and wife, Judith of Winfield and Rodney Hostetter of Oak Hill; one sister, Sylvia Hager and husband, Frank of Ironton, OH; seven nieces, one nephew and numerous cousins. Services will be on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Johnny Syner and Pastor Bill McClung officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
