Alice Painter Brake

Alice Faye (Painter) Brake, age 65, of Boca Raton, FL formerly of Dothan, WV died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Boca Raton Community Hospital, following a short illness. Born July 4, 1939 at Dothan, WV she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Elbert and Frances Lorene Lively Painter. Alice was a graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. Her first job was with the C&P Telephone Company in Oak Hill and Beckley. Mrs. Brake retired two years ago from Seamens Electric in Boca Raton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Jones. Survivors include her husband, Gary R. Brake; brother, David Painter; sisters, Barbara Peterson, Brenda Powers, Mary L. Sizemore, Shirley Schultz and Stella Snyder. She was a Christian and knowing that she is home with God is our greatest comfort. Services will be in Boca Raton where arrangements are incomplete.
