Algisa "Gese" Bonifacio, 92, of Mount Hope, WV passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV after a short illness. Born August 9, 1915 at Glen Jean, WV she was a daughter of the late Sam and Maria Troiani Bonifacio. She was a clerk for the Bon Bon Confectionary and Hardware Store in Mount Hope, a business her family has owned since 1920. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Julius Bonifacio, Orval "Oggie" Bonifacio, and Paul Bonifacio; four sisters, Edith Bonifacio, Dorina Bonifacio, Rosina Gramacci and Lena Bergendahl. Survivors include one brother, Floyd Bonifacio, and his wife, Phyllis of Mount Hope, one sister, Edith Davis of Dade City, FL; sisters-in-law, Leona Bonifacio of Mount Hope and Leila Bonifacio of Newport News, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope, WV with Rev. Jessie Parker and Rev. Michael Kessinger officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Rock Bonifacio, Dean Bonifacio, Doug Bonifacio, Britt Davis, Billy Bergendahl, Sam Bonifacio, Tom Bonifacio, and Richard Bonifacio.
