Alexander "Bill" Doris

Alexander "Bill" Doris, 85, of Scarbro, WV died on Friday, December 04, 2009 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born April 9, 1924 at MacDonald, WV, he was the son of the late Willard and Vena Hatfield Doris. Mr. Doris retired as service manager from New River Supply, Oak Hill. He was an Army veteran of World War II, member of the Mount Hope Lions Club and was a former Boy Scout leader. Survivors include his wife, Jean Bibb Doris; two daughters, Melanie Skeldon and her husband, Mark of Scarbro and Leesa Hinte and her husband, James of Beckley; five grandchildren, Brett Bowyer of Princeton, Jill Bowyer of Bluefield, Andrew Hinte, Alexander (A. J.) Hinte, and Chase Hinte, all of Beckley. Friends may call from Noon until 1:00 P. M., Monday, December 7, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Committal Service will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, December 7, at Blue Ridge Memorial Mausoleum, Prosperity with Bob Creed officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
