Albert Russell Combs , 85, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home .

Born June 21, 1931 at Thurmond, WV he was the son of the late Thomas Wiley and Dorothy Elizabeth Smith Combs.

Albert was retired from Long Airdox in Oak Hill having worked from 1959 to 1996 in the material control warehouse and sales. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954.

Brothers, Thomas Combs and Arthur Lee Combs preceded him in death.

Those who will forever cherish his memory include his wife, Anna Francine Hatcher Combs; son, Russell Edward Combs and wife, Caren, of Daytona Beach Shores, FL; sisters, Mary Katherine Kincaid of Redstar and Elizabeth Jane Vance and husband, Archie, of Sun City, SC; brother, Fredrick Newton Combs and wife, Lisa, of Sun City, SC; grandchildren, Brian Russell Combs and wife, Natalie, of Glen Dale, Sean Edward Combs of Gainesville, FL and Scott Philip Combs of Sophia; great grandchildren, Isabelle Marie Linton and Greta Sue Combs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Gerald Kincaid, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home

Grandchildren and friends will serve as pallbearers.
