Alan E. Jordan , 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, December 03, 2014 at his home.

Born September 13, 1932 at Detroit, MI he was the son of the late Everett G. and Berenice Small Jordan.

Mr. Jordan was a West Virginia University graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from the WV Department of Highways with over 30 years service.

A member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, he taught the Men's Bible Class. He was a former member and past president of the Oak Hill Lion's Club; had been named a Distinguished West Virginian; and was a US Army veteran - active and reserve.

Alan is survived by a loving family which includes his wife, Norma Perdue Jordan; son, Gregory A. Jordan of Princeton; daughter, Karen Leshock and husband, Jim of Charlotte, NC; and two brothers, Dr. William G. Jordan of St. Cloud, MN and Dr. Jon L. Jordan of McLean, VA.

He was a great hands on grandfather to Alan James Leshock and Alexander Leshock both of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. James Shepherd and Rev. Ellen L. File officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, Fayette-Nicholas Chapter, PO Box 355, Oak Hill WV 25901
