Aileen Ruth Mcgraw Janney

Aileen Ruth "Mama" McGraw Janney , 92, of Oak Hill, WV formerly of Pax, WV died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born May 26, 1920 at Long Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Henry "Chick" and Virginia Burgess McGraw. Aileen was a member of Winolia Chapter No. 59 OES and the Long Branch United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Summit Assisted Living in Oak Hill and the staff at Bowers Hospice House. A special thanks to friends Ruth Ann Wingrove, Luann Thornquest and Buddy and Joann Lively. . She was preceded in death by her husband, James Seibert Janney, her children, Seibert Wayne Janney and Bernadine Janney Smith and siblings, Lorena Akers, Rupert McGraw, Helen Lively and Bernard McGraw and a nephew, Dwight Akers. Survivors include her granddaughter, Sally Kay Blackburn and husband, Jeffrey, and great grandsons, Matthew and Eric Blackburn all of Hurricane. She will be affectionately remembers by a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Mervin Sizemore officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
