Our beloved, twinkle-eyed, smiling Erin Michelle Trimble Hornsby , 37, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born January 15, 1978 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of John "Turtle" and Vickie Hoover Trimble of Oak Hill, WV.
At one time Erin was an EMT for Jan Care Ambulance - a work she was very proud to have done.
Growing up she attended the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill where she participated in many youth activities throughout the years. Most recently she attended the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Erin was a 1996 graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Mountain State in Beckley. She loved summer sports , playing softball as a young woman and then becoming very involved in whatever sports her sons played. Her smiling face is going to missed at the ball field. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends boating at the lake.
Erin leaves behind many who will cherish her memory. Along with her parents, this includes her much loved husband of 7 years, Jay Allen Hornsby; their two adored sons, Jacob Hornsby and Logan Hornsby; her precious little sister, Jaime Trimble Smith and husband, Matthew of Fayetteville; and nephew and niece, Ashton Brian Smith and Braelynn Jo Smith - who Erin couldn't have loved more if they'd been her own.
She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and an entire host of friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Randy James officiating. Burial will be at Restwood Cemetery, Hinton.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
