Emma Katherine Lucinda Mitchell Shieler , 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 18, 1927 at Kincaid, WV she was the daughter of the late Oliver Sheldon Mitchell, Sr. and Maude Virginia Hamilton Mitchell She was a retired school cook for the Fayette County Board of Education having worked at for Oak Hill High School and a former employee of Beckley Manufacturing. Mrs. Shieler was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scarbro. She was a 1945 graduate of Montgomery High School. Her husband, Edward Estes Shieler and brothers, Robert Mitchell, Oliver Sheldon Mitchell, Jr., Jim Mitchell and John Mitchell and nieces and nephews preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Sudana Katherine Greene and husband, Carroll L. of Mount Hope, son, Timothy Edward Shieler, Sr. of Oak Hill, grandchildren, Michelle DeLung and husband, Rusty of Rich Creek, VA, L.T. Shieler of Oak Hill, and Jessi Lehman and husband, Kyle of Summersville and great grandchildren, Alyssa DeLung and Lexi DeLung. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Kenny Smith officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
