Charles Flint, Jr. 86, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV following a short illness. Born June 11, 1921 near Lookout, WV he was the son of the late Charles and Doris Howell Flint. Charles was a veteran of World War II, serving in the south Pacific; and upon his return, her met and married the love of his life, Freida Fern Withrow. He retired after 26 years as a Class A lineman with Appalachian Power Company and became an avid golfer, achieving four holes in one. He was of the Christian faith, most recently attending the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Hill. Three brothers, Roy, James and John and a sister, Mary Rombow preceded him in death. He is survived to cherish his memory by his loving wife of 59 years, Freida Fern Withrow Flint; two sons, Charles Lee Flint and wife, Mary Lynn and Roger Flint and wife, Mary Ann; granddaughters, Leigh Boggs and husband, Dr. Daniel Boggs, Amy Burns and husband, Jason; grandson, Christopher Flint and great grandson, Carson Burns. In addition he leaves his sisters, Loreda Mitchell and Wilda Pauletta; half-sister, Wanda Smallwood and husband, Marsh; step-sisters, Bonnie Pritt and husband, Bobby and Doris Hadox and step-brother, Donald Withrow and wife, Wilma. Services will be on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Rev. Daniel Rice officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
